These tests demonstrated that the PAX-designed impeller surpassed conventional mixing technology performance. For example, in one 4.0 MG reservoir, the PAX impeller reduced temperature stratification from 4 degrees Celsius to 1 degree Celsius in just two days using only 100 to 150 watts of power. The Solution

PAX Water Mixer

The PAX Water Mixer is an active submersible mixing system. The mixer easily installs in hours without draining the reservoir, and mixes on-demand to rapidly eliminate stratification, uniformly distribute disinfectants and prevent conditions favorable to nitrification. In addition, the need for on-site chemical addition may be significantly reduced, and when such practices are required, dispersion times can be minimized.

All immersed materials comply with NSF/ANSI Standard 61 requirements for materials in contact with drinking water. All electrical connections are certified to UL standards for maximum safety.

The illustrated on the left shows stratification within a tank that can negatively impact water quality. The second illustration depicts a typical Mixer installation and the strong axial jet of fluid the patented impeller generates. This stream sets up a low-friction, energy-efficient, and stable flow structure throughout the entire volume of the body of water, maintaining completely mixed conditions.

PAX technology replicates nature’s convection current geometry—the same flow structures that are found everywhere from heat rising in a coffee cup to thermal currents in the atmosphere. Nature uses this approach exclusively because it is the most effective and energy-efficient method of mixing fluids. PAX has reverse engineered this natural strategy and patented mixers that achieve the same benefits.

Elevated tank solutions

Our unique and simple design allows us to modify the mixer for various reservoir types. We now have available an elevated tank mixer that will adapt to the various tank configurations in the field. Regardless of the slope or design, this elevated tank mixer adjusts in the tank with a set of telescoping legs and feet. The feet attach to the tank floor with a series of built-in magnets. The magnets keep the mixer in place but still allow the device to be moved during maintenance cycles. Simple, elegant, and practical. Set it in place, turn it on, let it mix, and have the ability to move it when it is time to service the tank.

Solar Power System Option

The solution that has proven successful in storage tanks of all types is now available for remote off-grid installations. Fully customizable according to storage volume, location, and solar insulation, PAX Water will assess the solar requirements and source through established regional providers with extensive experience in the solar photovoltaic industry.

Warranty

The PAX Water Mixer comes with a full two (2) year warranty on parts and one hundred twenty (120) days on labor for installations completed by approved installation contractors. Warranty does not cover damage due to: (i) lightning, flood or other acts of nature, or failure of or inappropriate application of peripheral devices including lightning or surge protectors; (ii) negligence of Buyer or any third party; (iii) vandalism or any other misuse or mistreatment of the product; or (iv) installation by non-licensed contractor.
